Free ConvertFLV to AVI MP4 MOV WMV 3GP Converter is a video converter. It can only open FLV files, but it can convert those files to a variety of other formats. The supported formats are listed in the application's title. This tool has a nice interface, which looks a loot like the interface found in Office 2007's apps. It comes bundled with a YouTube video downloader, which is called Tomato YouTube Downloader. At the time I wrote this review, the downloader wasn't working at all.
The converter was working just fine. Converting a file was as easy as adding the file to the interface via the "Add" button and selecting a format. On the drop-down menu, there are over 20 profiles which allow you to convert files to plain formats, or use optimized profiles for devices such as the iPhone, iPod, Zune, Xbox 360, PMP, PSP, Apple TV, etc. The conversion process was very quick.
Although "Free" is in this application's title, the application is really a trial. It will not allow you to convert your full videos. It only allows you to convert 2 minutes or so.
All in all, this tool has a good interface, it works well, and it supports many formats and devices. However, it is a bit expensive for what it does.
